What We Do

  • assist parents in preparing what is required of them by the Direction de l’éducation à domicile du Québec

How We Collaborate

Through various workshops, children cooperate to expand their knowledge in subjects such as science, geography, history as well as English or French as a second language.

Registered families will be given a user code to log on to the ëdükï website. This will give them access to:

  • a comprehensive overview of the week’s activities
  • templates for documents required by the DEM
  • suggestions for encouraging reading at home
  • additional ideas for expanding on the themes 

How is it organised?​

  • 24 primary and secondary students and 2 teachers
  • Weekly themes
  • Daily literacy activities
  • Science and technology theory and experiments
  • Multi-disciplinary and differentiated workshops
  • Adapted exercises in English and French

What's the routine?

11:00 – 11:15 Reading and discussion

11:30 – 12:00 Second language literacy activities

12:00 – 12:30 Lunch and recess

12:30 – 1:30 Social studies / Science workshops

1:30 – 2:00 Project-based learning

2:00 – 3:30 ëdükï Ärts

Hands-on activities

Group limited to 24 students

Project-based learning

Students will be given oral and written communication projects to complete on a weekly basis.

At ëdükï, we strive to foster the creation of bonds by offering a place to socialize, support, and encourage, helping to create a sense of belonging while contributing to all type of learners.

Multi-Age Group

Students have the opportunity to interact in a context where they are invited to take an active role with someone younger or older than themselves. The multi-age group fosters independence, encouraging children to develop healthy learning habits.

*The minimum age must be reached before December 1 of the current year.

 

Thematic Calendar

Each week we explore a theme as a group using variety of activities and an innovative appoach. The themes are chosen and addressed with the goal of cultivating a curiousity about the world.
